Who is C&B Support Services Inc.?





We are a small team of caring, enthusiastic professionals who believe every disabled or developmentally-challenged child or adult should have the opportunity and resources to thrive in the comfort of their home, surrounded by a loving support system. As such, we take our jobs as CAP-C and CAP-DA service providers seriously.


Through compassionate case management and steadfast support tailored to every individual’s needs, C&B ensures proper and seamless case management for individuals and their families.

What is North Carolina’s CAP-C Program?





The Community Alternatives Program for Children, is a Medicaid-funded home and community‑structured service waiver for medically fragile or developmentally complex children, ages 0 to 20.


CAP-C is designed as a cost-effective alternative to institutions, offering necessary support for eligible children so they can remain in their home with their loved ones.


CAP-C waiver services link to the following:

  • In-home nursing
  • Home and car modifications
  • Specialized medical equipment and supplies
  • Care and case oversight
  • Physical/occupational/mental therapy


What is North Carolina’s CAP-DA Program?





For individuals aging out of CAP-C or in need of care as an adult, we render services through the Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults (CAP-DA). This is a Medicaid-funded waiver for disabled adults, aged 21+.

Much like the CAP-C program. the purpose of CAP-DA is to provide a cost-effective alternative to hospitals, nursing homes, or other institutions. With the help of CAP-DA services, an eligible adult can thrive in the sanctity of their own home or residence.

A CAP‑DA waiver may link to the following:

  • Case management and care coordination
  • At-home nursing care
  • Meal preparation and delivery
  • Home accessibility modifications
  • Community integrative services
  • PT, OT, and other forms of therapy

James, our founder and guiding light, believed that the best support happens not in offices, but in the homes and neighborhoods where people live and thrive. Though he is no longer with us, we carry his vision forward every day—delivering personalized, respectful, and empowering care to children and adults across Western North Carolina.


The name “C & B” honors James’ nieces, Christina and Betsy, who remind us that ability exists across a beautiful and wide spectrum. Their lives—and James’—continue to inspire how we see and serve each person with dignity and purpose.
